Kickoff Fundraiser

“Wow. It looks like New York! I’m really surprised that it’s just like downtown Silver Spring” (Kristin/Ronetta)

Arriving in the Johannesburg International airport, we were struck by the magnificent “Welcome to South Africa” sign as we exited the airplane … and the excitement was magnetic among all of us. We gathered our luggage and then had a surprise “welcome” visit from Roy and Allana Diaz, a lovely South African couple whom we met during our site survey visit in April. Roy and Allana gave us wonderful South African scarves and warmly greeted each of the girls with a loving hug.

We then boarded our coach to the Lemurian Guest House where Ms. Cora greeted us to her lovely guest house – and we enjoyed a hot spaghetti and fried chicken meal before retiring to our rooms for the evening
